Isle of Wight Steam Railway
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway runs over part of the old route between Ryde and Newport.

Today, the railway only runs between Smallbrook Junction (on the line between Ryde and Shanklin, originally Ventnor) and Wooton.

Smallbrook Junction is unusual in that it has no road connection and is only accessible from the Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin railway on steam operating days.

The Ryde Pier Head to Shanlkin service is operated by ex London Transport tube trains.
