This annual exhibition is held at the NEC in Birmingham in July/August. The images shown in this gallery are of just a few of the exhibits entered into the competitions. Various classes represent different styles of quilting including hand stitched, machined, individual and group efforts. The entries come from all over the world.
The exhibition is a fascinating insight into this popular creative hobby; sales stands offer everything you might need from templates to fabric and, of course machines. These advanced sewing machines vary in price from a few hundred pounds to long arm machines capable of working on quilts up to 2m x 3m in size costing £14,000.
